This is a near chronic problem with me. What helps you guys get over it? What Inspires you to write when nothing's in your head?

    This is what I do.

Write three pages of the nothing in your head EVERYDAY before you brush your teeth. Don't read those pages - just get the momentum. Take yourself out on 'creativity dates' at least once a week - 'silly' is just as good as 'inspiring' for this; crayons & constuction paper can be equal to a hike to a glorious vista.

Drink licorice root tea when you are ready to write.

      Hi Erica:)
A good book to read, the Artist's Way. I have a copy which you may borrow. Also, changes of scenery, outings, vacations, basically anything which inspires me to look at life from a different point of view helps my creative process. Sometimes (okay most of the time), I get lazy being in a familiar environment, and I forget to see. I'm not a writer but that's what works for me. I completely concur with Wand. Write often and don't sensor or critique your own work. The editor within is a sure fire killer of creativity:)

Licorice root - it is an herb for making tea (looks like dehydrated chicken chunks) that was recommended to me by an herbalist in my circle of friends when I was a budding writer. I am not an authority on whatever property that the root may contain, but I did gain a pleasant physical and sensual ritual that I used for preparing to write.

"I'm writing you a perception for a placebo - take it every day for two weeks. If after that there is no improvement, then I'll give a stronger one."
